Experience The Legendary Waters
Image LoadingA good majority of the town of Hot Springs is located inside the National Park and thus provides excellent access to a wide variety of nearby activities. In addition, Lookout Point Lakeside Inn is located close to town and provides a great launching point for day trips and outdoor adventures! The town received its name due to the many natural hot springs; their water believed to hold medicinal properties by Native American tribes and revered in their local legends.
One of the oldest spa destinations in America, visitors have been drawn to its healing waters since the mid 1800’s. Over time, Hot Springs would come to be known as “America’s First Resort.” A visit to Bathhouse Row is also highly recommended, which preserves eight historic bathhouses originally built to accommodate the growing tourism boom the town received at that time. Nowadays, the hot springs are still the main draw of the area and are a unique attraction not to be missed. Soaking in the naturally warmed water is the experience of a lifetime. Experience for yourself and you will quickly see why Hot Springs has been a premier destination for over 150 years.
