The Ever-Changing Gardens at Lookout Point

Any time of year, the gardens are beautiful and ever-changing. Our miracle-working gardener, Sonja, ensures the beauty and serenity of the gardens and is working long hours to make sure we get the very most of this spring season. You’ll discover have lots of blooming plants and shrubs now, including Brazilean verbena and gardenias. One of the most stunning blooms in our gardens are the hydrangeas, which usually arrive in early June. With colors of purple, pink, and fuchia, plus oak leaf, lacey Queen Anne hydrangeas–the enormous hydrangea garden is a sight to behold.

Meandering stone paths throughout the gardens are placed so that our guests can view all of the plants without getting their toes wet. The paths ultimately lead the way down to Lake Hamilton, while criss-crossing the stream.

For people inclined to moving meditation, you’ll discover a garden walking labyrinth, following the design of the ancient Chartres Cathedral in France. It is situated near the lake and tucked beyond the stone wall. By the labyrinth the stone altar provides a lovely setting for weddings, wedding renewals, baptisms and other services. It’s a perfect way to calm the soul and redirect your path.

Amidst the blooms, take a nap in the hammocks, swing away stress, and marvel at mother nature. We’d love to have you book a stay at the Inn for a Hot Springs Garden Retreat. Make reservations online or give us a call at 501.525.6155 and we’ll help you plan a restful, beautiful garden vacation.
