For the second year in a row, internationally known magicians Maxwell Blade and Jay Scott Berry are teaming up to present a festival magic. Weekend of Wonder, as it is known, will take place from Sept. 19-21 in Hot Springs National Park.
Last year, the magic festival exceeded even the vision of its founders, Blade and Berry. Each show was sold out, with audiences who appreciated magic and wanted to learn more. In addition to the shows, the workshops were also crowded with participants. Because the event was so well received in 2013, even more amazing magicians from around the world have been signed on for this year.
The main venue this year is Maxwell Blade’s theater, but there are 14 other places in the downtown area where magic will be appearing that weekend. “Strolling magic” is a special delight of the festival, and it happens more at the smaller venues so that the audience can have an intimate magic experience. For example, Paul Prater and Daryl Sprout will present a late night show at Fat Jacks on Friday and Saturday, after the main event has finished at Maxwell Blade Theater.
