Robin, one of the Innkeepers at Lookout Point, is known by our guests for her thoughtful hospitality in the evenings. She always has a recommendation handy and a smile on her face.
But before Robin was an Innkeeper, she was a professional artist. She had a gallery in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, and she exhibited her paintings at art festivals throughout the East Coast. Robin also served as Artist in Residence in Grand Teton National Park and Hot Springs National Park.
Within the past few months, Robin has started sharing her paintings in the Inn. These beautiful watercolors delight with their depictions of nature, and a few of them have actually found new homes with appreciative guests.
Although her landscapes are inspired by her travels through the American countryside, her new additions combine two of her passions—horses and painting. Influenced by her work with Give Me a Chance Equine Rescue, Robin is displaying an equine series in the common areas of the Inn. The art depicts thoroughbreds, influenced by the active racing season at Oaklawn. These pieces will certainly get you into the mood to see the Racing Festival of the South!
To see the full horse series, reserve a stay at our Arkansas Bed & Breakfast online or call 501.525.6155. Robin can give you the grand tour of her artwork while you enjoy a glass of wine from the Innkeeper’s Reception in the afternoon. She can even tell you about her favorite art galleries downtown, if you are interested in seeing more creative work while in Spa City.
