On this Veterans Day 2014, all of us at Lookout Point offer a deep gratitude to every person that has proudly served our country. Nearly every family in this great country has been personally impacted by service of a loved one in a branch of the military. From those of us who have not served in the armed forces, THANK YOU to every veteran and every soldier currently serving. Your efforts continue to make a difference in this world!
In our family alone, my father-in-law Arthur Rosset was a part of the D-Day invasion (Canadian Army) at Normandy that was the turning point for WWII. It took 50 years, when attending the anniversary in France, before he began to even speak of his experiences.
My father, Don Noerrlinger, served in the US Army during WWII, mostly in France.
My son-in-law, Devin, served 5 years with the Marine Corps, with tours of duty in Iraq.
My godson, Percy Gardner, is a new private in the US Army serving his first duty station.
I invite you to join me in sharing the names of your loved ones and family members who have served. It’s the least we can do–offering our thanks.
P.S. Active duty military receive a 10% discount on weekdays–always–at the inn.
