Garvan Gardens Tulips

The Hot Springs Tulips will be blossoming soon and we are excited! With so many garden events at Garvan Woodland Gardens throughout the year that I love to attend that it’s hard to pick my all-time favorite. But, if I did I think it would be Tulip Extravaganza March 22-April 19. The schedule of when the tulips bloom and the colors of the multitude of varieties really make me stop and ponder the intricacies of planning for all the beautiful flowers that come up in the Gardens. No matter how often I go during the season the tulips are stunning.

According to Bob Byers, associate executive director at the Gardens, “Dressed in all the colors of the rainbow, tulips are deservedly an emblem of the return of the sun and it’s hard to beat 138,000 of them.” He said garden favorites are:
• Ollioules (lavender pink with white edge)
• Daydream (orange and yellow)
• Red Impression that are the mainstays along Woodland Walk this year

Garvan Gardens is such a treasure in Hot Springs. Its peaceful, beautiful landscaping including seasonal flowers, special exhibits and exquisite walkways throughout the gardens is world-class. Visitors come from all over the world to experience the splendor and serenity exhibited there.

I hope I’ve convinced you to plan a getaway to Hot Springs to enjoy the beauty of the tulips in early spring. While you’re in town we’d also like to convince you to stay with us at our lovely Arkansas bed and breakfast inn on Lake Hamilton. Our garden flowers are beginning to peak through and we have benches, swings, hammocks and a labyrinth with the beauty of Lake Hamilton awaiting your arrival. Approximately 100,000 vibrantly hued tulips will grace the Flowering Border and Camelia Trail at Garvan Woodland Gardens this spring. This lavish floral display is one of the most anticipated events of the year.

Stay at Lookout Point for 2 nights between Sunday, March 22- Thursday,March 26 OR Sunday March 28 – April 2, you’ll receive two COMPLIMENTARY admission tickets to the Garvan Gardens. Just mention this offer at time of reservation, and not valid with any other discounts.

The Garvan Gardens are quickly becoming an international destination. This 210 acre woodland botanical garden astounds visitors with their beauty. It’s one of our favorite places to visit in Hot Springs. I’m looking forward to taking my one-year-old grandson for photos in the tulips.

Guests often ask how long it takes to see the gardens. To walk all of the trails, and the bird sanctuary, one could spend all day. Generally, we plan to spend a couple of hours and focus on different parts of the gardens each time we visit.
