It’s approaching that time of the month again. Time for tea! Lookout Point will be hosting our monthly tea on Thursday, October 24nd starting at 2:00 pm. If you haven’t reserved your spot for this month’s tea, it’s not too late. Enjoy an afternoon with a variety of delicious teas, homemade scones, desserts, and finger sandwiches. Things to do in Hot Springs, Arkansas

Lookout Point is located only about 7 1/2 miles from Downtown Hot Springs. Because of our convenient location guests are close to all the exciting activities that go on in Hot Springs.

July 10th and 11th, the Hot Springs convention center will be hosting Quiltfest 2009-”Peaceful Creations.” Quilt lovers from all over can come to Hot Springs and enjoy the two day show of quilts from Hot Springs and surrounding areas. Admission is $5.

On Saturday, July 11th, the Arlington will the 8th annual smooth jazz concert featuring Grady Nichols and his band. This event is a fundraiser for the Lupus Foundation – Arkansas Chapter. Doors open at 6:30pm, and the shows starts 7:15pm. Admission: $20 in advance and $25.00 at door.

Magic Springs summer concert series presents Sara Evans on July 11th at the Timberwood Amphitheater. March of Dimes will have their March for Babies Walk on July 11th. The walk will start at Entergy park.

On Tuesday, July 14th, Garvan Gardens will host their monthly tea at 3 p.m. in the Pratt welcome center of on the Veranda. Enjoy traditional English tea, including tasty scones, crumpets, finger sandwiches and delectable desserts. Cost is $15 for members and $18 for non-members. Seating is limited, and pre-payment is required.

“Steel Magnolias” will be playing at the Pocket Theatre in downtown Hot Springs July 16th-26th.

July 17th the Antique/boutique walk will take place on the 100 block of Central Avenue in downtown Hot Springs. The walk is the place to be for that one-of-a-kind treasure, antiques, fine art, clothing, dazzling jewelry, specialty foods, plus unique gifts for the home and garden.

Spot of Tea at Lookout Point

Lookout Point celebrated another wonderful Spot of Tea event today. We were joined grateful to host this event for a group of lovely ladies. The ladies that participated in the tea we able to select from a variety of gorgeous teapots to have their tea served to them from. The ladies sampled a variety of Portsmouth teas that can also be purchased at the inn. Tea flavors included: Avalanche Rooibos, Earl Grey LeCreme, and New England Blue Berry. The ladies were also served cranberry cinnamon scones, petite fours, cucumber finger sandwiches, and chicken apple tea sandwiches. The ladies enjoyed pleasant conversation and a lovely tea afternoon. Lookout Point looks celebrated our first tea in March and looks forward to many to come. Thank you ladies for visiting Lookout Point and making this tea possible.

Inaugural "Spot of Tea" on Thursday in Hot Springs

Lookout Point Lakeside Inn hosted the first “Spot of Tea on Thursday” today! Attendees enjoyed the teas, freshly baked butterscotch scones, petite fours, curried chicken tea sandwiches, and cucumber finger sandwiches. In addition, a tour of the inn and gardens provided an overview of the inn. Most importantly, these friends savored time and conversation with each other in a soothing environment.

These friends gathered from various Arkansas towns to shop Hot Springs and sip tea at Lookout Point. Thanks for helping to make the fist “Spot of Tea on Thursday” a successful and fun endeavor!
