One of the wonderful aspects of living in, or visiting, Hot Springs Arkansas is strolling through the Garvan Gardens in December. This wonderland of lights never fails to inspire and strike awe for all ages of folks.
Our family enjoyed a long walk through the gardens, amazed by the variety of light displays. On the chilly night, the complimentary cup of hot cocoa near the miniature railroad provided a warm treat.
In addition to the lights, Garvan Gardens hosts terrific concerts in the Anthony Chapel. December 7: Holiday concert with the chorus of Ouachita Baptist University; December 8: Holiday concert featuring the Henderson University Chamber Chorale; December 13: Voices of Angels with the talented Deleen Davidson, 5:00pm; December 21: Hot Springs Flute Ensemble; December 22: Concert with vocalists Stephen and Denise Edds.

It it such a great feeling to be a part of a couple’s special day, and this day was very special for Stephanie and Rodney Gibbs. According to the family of this recently married couple, their marriage has been a long time coming. The couple has been dating since they were fifteen years old, which is a trend in the family, because Stephanie’s brother and his wife also started dating when they were fifteen. An intimate ceremony took place on the peaceful labyrinth and the reception followed in the dining room. A beautiful bride and her handsome groom both gleamed with joy as members of the family came forward and toasted the newlyweds. It was a lovely wedding for this sweet couple and their loving family!
We wish you two the best of luck and a happy marriage filled with lots of love and gorgeous children. Also, best of luck with the twin girls on the way!

Relax with dinner at Lookout Point Lakeside Inn
Fall is just weeks away, and it’s one of my very favorite seasons! There’s a hint of coolness in the air at night, the humidity is down, and relaxing outside in the gardens of Lookout Point delights the senses.
If you can getaway throughout September, we’re offering to provide your dinner for one night: complimentary! Many guests tell us that they don’t want to leave the inn, even to go eat. To accommodate this request, we started serving simple and healthy fare from 11am-9pm. A bowl of soup, organic green salad, or sandwich (chicken salad on croissant or grilled ham & cheese or grilled turkey & cheese) provide a lovely “dining in” experience. You can sit by the waterfalls, and relax.
Stay two weeknights (Sun -Thur) in September, and you’ll receive a complimentary dinner for two (choice of two selections each). The September Special is not available with any other promotions, and must be mentioned at the time of reservation.

It was a joy to be a part of the Jennings wedding last Sunday at Lookout Point. Katie looked gorgeous in her gown as she walked down the aisle on her father’s arm. Her daughter Analee walked in front with her miniature bouquet. She was a beautiful little angel!
Katie’s brother played the guitar as Katie walked down the aisle. The ceremony took place in the garden near the waterfall. The couple and Analee participated in a sand union using white, black and pink sand. The sand unity was just lovely, and the perfect touch for their wedding.
Congratulations Katie and Joshua on your marriage! Best wishes for a long happy life together!
