Each year, the holidays are filled with many gatherings. Though these range in size, are filled with great food and amazing fellowship with friends and family, the weeks of gatherings and shopping leave me feeling overwhelmed. As a self-proclaimed introvert, I leave the holidays feeling like I need to recharge.
The new year offers the opportunity to start fresh, rejuvenate. After the decorations are put away, I find that the perfect solution to a peaceful January is a change of pace. A relaxing getaway is a great option for giving you a much needed break.
Some of our best tips for recovering from the holidays are:
- get great rest in a great bed, with soft sheets and sumptuous pillows
- take time for you–a soaking bath or relaxing with a great view
- give yourself time to reflect and refresh by taking a walk outside
