Our guests are raving about the new Luna Bella Restaurant, located only 1/2 mile from Lookout Point. The Italian American fusion cuisine puts a great twist on Italian fare. Recently I enjoyed their special of the evening, a pan-seared tilapia. It was cooked to perfection, and perfectly seasoned.
Luna Bella’s upscale decor allows for conversation in a setting reminiscent of Hollywood during the 1950′s. With enough well-placed lighting to actually read the menu, the atmosphere is great for a romantic occasion or a business dinner.
Hot Springs is graced with fine restaurants! Here’s a few more of our favorites: J&S Italian Villa, Central Park Fusion, Rolando’s, Via Roma, Jason’s Burgers & More, McClard’s Bar-b-que….and lots more.
We’re pleased to be your full concierge service when you stay at our B&B inn.

The early works of Ansel Adams, the master of American landscape, are displayed at the Hot Springs’ Museum of Contemporary Art until August 1.
Did you know that Adams was torn between being a concert pianist and a photographer? According to MOCA, he famously likened the photographic negative to a musical score, and the print to the performance. You’ll admire 50 of his prints, on display until August 1.
Come stay at our Hot Springs bed & breakfast, convenient to the downtown museums yet nestled on beautiful Lake Hamilton.

Fireworks over Lake Hamilton
Hot Springs celebrates our nation’s birthday BIG! The fireworks over Lake Hamilton light up the sky and reflect across the water on July 3rd. It’s always a really great pyrotechnic display!
On July 2nd you’ll find live music and fireworks at Oaklawn’s Spa Blast 2010.
Rent a boat for a day of lake fun (or swim off of our dock in the clear waters of Lake Hamilton), then dine at J&S Italian Villa overlooking the fireworks. Or take the Belle Riverboat fireworks cruise for an up-close look. Let us make reservations for you soon…both places fill up quickly.
There’s still time to reserve a room at our Hot Springs bed & breakfast inn. Come join the fun!

Our Hot Springs bed & breakfast hosts many significant birthday celebrations, and we love the joy and laughter surrounding the events. This spring, two different groups of life-long friends celebrated in big ways.

The East Side Girls of Little Rock
The East Side girls, all formerly of Little Rock, gathered from across the country to renew friendships and celebrate. Friends since junior high, many of these women were the first graduation class from the Little Rock Central High School following integration.
You’re invited to celebrate a birthday at Lookout Point, whether in a romantic fashion for just the two of you, or with your dearest friends.

Last week Lookout Point Lakeside Inn experienced the joy of welcoming the talented guest conductor Pierre Simard, of Montreal Canada. Joined by his enthusiastic wife, Nadya (a professional sopranist), the couple made fast friends with every person they met at the inn.
Conducting the Festival Symphony Orchestra, Simard’s spirited gifts coaxed the very best of these talented musicians from around the world. The opening overture, Wagner’s Tannhauser, left the crowd in holy awe, resulting in a standing ovation. Well done, maestro!
He’s conducting a Valentine’s concert, with Nadya singing, on February 19 on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Who wants to go? We do!

One-of-a-kind in concept and execution, the Hot Springs Music Festival brings together over 250 international musicians each June to our wonderful city of Hot Springs. Lookout Point Lakeside Inn delights in sponsoring the Music Festival, and whenever possible we try to catch a concert or rehearsal. Rehearsals are FREE!
The Festival, now in its fifteenth season, pairs world-class mentor musicians from major orchestras, chamber ensembles and conservatory faculties with especially talented pre-professional apprentices–all of whom receive full scholarship plus housing; the two groups play “side by side” in orchestral, chamber, solo recital, vocal, choral and chamber opera repertoire. For two weeks, these musicians form a unique community, presenting 20 concerts and over 250 open rehearsals for music lovers from across the globe.
We invite you to enjoy the amazing Hot Springs Music Festival! The extraordinary talent inhabiting Hot Springs during these two weeks takes my breath away. This is a time to feed the soul!

Lookout Point advidly recycles and seeks ways of minimizing waste. So we’re excited to attend the 6th Discarde D’Arte Recycled Sculpture Contest at Hollywood Park, May 8, 10am-5pm. Hollywood Park just happens to be Nikki’s (our yellow lab mix) favorite.
The
Recycled Sculpture Contest showcases the artistic talent and creativity of area individuals, civic, school and other groups using recycled, and/or reused items as the media for art. Prizes are awarded to winners by popular vote. Enjoy a great walk while admiring creativity.
