Yesterday, Ray & I celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary, and I am so grateful to this patient and good man for his kind and generous spirit. Part of our anniversary traditions include expressing gratitude for our lives shared, and enjoying a nice bottle of red.
For years I’ve been interested to hear long-time married people tell the stories of creating a successful marriage. And now we are one of those “long-time” couples! I really don’t understand how it happened so quickly!
When my parents celebrated their 50th anniversary, I asked them the secret to their successful marriage. My mother said the typical answers: don’t go to bed mad, love each other, etc. My father bluntly replied: Do what SHE says! Of course, he promptly received the reaction he desired.
A few days ago, Lucian and Wanda

Wanda & Lucian (back), Tammy & James (foreground)
celebrated their 45th anniversary at Lookout Point. One morning they dined outdoors by the waterfalls, and shared conversation with James and Tammy, who will be married this fall at the inn. Lucian offered a great piece of advice to the upcoming groom. Whenever Lucian is asked how long he’s been married, he responds by looking lovingly & directly into Wanda’s eyes, and says “Not long enough!”
What a beautiful reply! It’s true: Ray & I have not been married long enough. Here’s to many more great decades together. And to all of you celebrating a June anniversary: congratulations!—Kristie

On a gorgeous April day, with a perfectly blue sky and slight breeze, Jeff and Tracy exchanged vows at Lookout Point.

Congrats, Jeff & Tracy!
Standing before family and friends, the couple chose the lakeside labyrinth for the site of their lakeside garden wedding.
Tracy’s stylish bridesmaids carried yellow bouquets, and the chairs were also adorned with yellow pom-poms.
Congratulations to the happy couple! We wish you all the best.

‘Tis the season for beautiful garden lakeside weddings on Lake Hamilton at our inn! In the past few weeks, many couples

Brittani & Scott's spring wedding
have chosen to exchange their vows here. Lake Hamilton, our gardens, and the waterfalls at Lookout Point make great back-drops for beautiful photos.
Congratulations to Scott and Brittani, wed on April 3, 2012! They are such a dear, genuinely nice couple, and were surrounded by family and friends for their wedding.

Small, intimate weddings are growing in popularity for lots of really good reasons:
- lots of money saved
- reduces the stress of planning a major event
- the bride and groom are surrounded by their very closest family and friends
- time to focus on the marriage, instead of the wedding
- a small destination wedding may become a fun family reunion!
On Leap Year Day, Jack & Michelle

Leap Year Wedding
exchanged vows in a lovely ceremony at the Anthony Chapel of the Garvan Gardens. Immediate family from all over the U.S. gathered, enjoying time together.
Following the wedding, the wedding party returned to Lookout Point for photographs, the wedding reception, and wedding dinner (catered by Chef Eve). Jack’s twin sister Jill was also present—too funny (Jack & Jill)!
Michelle & Jack taught me something new: steam punk. What great guests!
Springtime is a beautiful time of year to be married in our gardens by the lake. Give us a call at 866.525.6155 to reserve your Hot Springs wedding!

Jim and Wendy traveled a long distance to marry: all the way from England to Hot Springs. The lovely and kind couple exchanged vows

Jim & Wendy's Arkansas wedding
on a rather balmy December afternoon, allowing great photos in our gardens.
Incorporating British traditions into the setting, the initial toast was for the Queen, followed by a toast to the couple–a first at Lookout Point!
We send our best wishes, as Wendy & Jim return to their home in England. We’re honored that you chose to marry at our Hot Springs bed & breakfast.

What a joy to welcome Jamie & Reese for their wedding on a gorgeous sunny May afternoon.

Congratulations!
Standing by the waterfalls and roses, the fun and happy couple exchanged vows and rings.
Following the champagne toast, they actually climbed into the waterfalls for a photo op.

Sara and Michael exchanged vows on a beautiful autumn day, right at the waters edge of Lake Hamilton.

Lovely bride & groom
In Sara’s words, “Everything was just beautiful and perfect! We had our very small wedding ceremony outside by the lake. It was just absolutely gorgeous with the fall leaves on the trees…Kelley did a great job with the photography…”
It was an honor to officiate at the wedding of these very special and precious people! If you are looking for a special place to get married, we would love to assist in making your day perfectly romantic and memorable.

Beautiful couple
Last week, the rains stopped in time for a garden wedding along the shores of Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs. Surrounded by immediate family and friends, Terry & Cassie exchanged vows and rings.
This sweet, fun couple were perfectly relaxed and calm for the wedding. The high heels were kicked aside right after the ceremony, opting for barefoot comfort. Congratulations to Cassie & Terry!
Lookout Point photographer, Kelley, captured the love shared by this couple and their family.

It was a joy to be a part of the Jennings wedding last Sunday at Lookout Point. Katie looked gorgeous in her gown as she walked down the aisle on her father’s arm. Her daughter Analee walked in front with her miniature bouquet. She was a beautiful little angel!
Katie’s brother played the guitar as Katie walked down the aisle. The ceremony took place in the garden near the waterfall. The couple and Analee participated in a sand union using white, black and pink sand. The sand unity was just lovely, and the perfect touch for their wedding.
Congratulations Katie and Joshua on your marriage! Best wishes for a long happy life together!
