Many events are scheduled for December in Hot Springs including art, music, theater and much more. In the first part of December a few of the events you might enjoy attending each year include:

Holiday in the Park at 7 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Convention Center in Horner Hall. This is an annual holiday event sponsored by National Park Community College and Fun City Chorus. Holiday in the Park includes holiday music by National Park Community College Choir, Fun City Chorus, Soundwaves and several local high schools and elementary schools.
Gallery Walk from 5-9 p.m. Dec. 4. This is a monthly event the first Friday of each month at the local art galleries in Hot Springs. Gallery Walk is a treat every month, but in December it’s a great way to see what’s new in the galleries, enjoy a glass of wine and appetizers, visit with other patrons and maybe get a little Christmas shopping done.

Christmas Parade, Dec. 7 at 6:30pm with an old-fashioned small town feel in downtown.  This Christmas parade in Hot Springsyear’s theme, “The Art of Christmas” features two amazing local artists Richard Stephens and Gary Simmons as Grand Marshalls.  (You’ll find lots of Richard Stephens art at Lookout Point.)
• “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4, 5, 11 and 12 and at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 6 and 13 sponsored by Pocket Community Theater. This play is a delightful production about a couple struggling to put on a church pageant and includes lots of fun and humor.
These are only four of the many holiday happenings Hot Springs has in store during December. Check the calendar for more information and lots more opportunities.
As always, at the Inn we provide a wonderful place for out-of-town guests to stay during December. The Inn will be decorated and ready for the holidays. It is situated on Lake Hamilton and provides toasty fireplaces; mugs of coffee, cocoa and hot tea; afternoon gatherings with holiday treats; and scrumptious gourmet breakfasts.
Rates are at the lowest during December, so make reservations online or give us a call @ 501.525.6155 and we’ll help you plan your Hot Springs holiday getaway weekend.

Hot Springs Glows with Holiday Lights

November 1st, 2012 by Kristie Rosset

One of the most dazzling exhibitions in Hot Springs each year is “Lights on the Landscape” at Garvan Woodland Gardens. From Nov. 17-Dec. 31, 5-9 p.m. the Gardens twinkle with more than 1.8 million brilliant bulbs. This display of lights is one of the most anticipated events in Arkansas and is filled with expectation and excitement for the holiday season. As an added treat, the Gardens also allow dogs to come along for the outing.

If you’ve never visited the Gardens, this would be the perfect opportunity to plan a trip to the holiday display and to stay with us at the inn. Or, if you return year after year to enjoy the sights, please consider making us your holiday headquarters during your trip.

As an added bonus, Lookout Point is offering very special low rates ($99/night) in our Queen Standard rooms for the first 3 weeks of December, on weeknights Sunday-Thursday. Just give us a call to make your reservation at 501.525.6155.

Thanks to some great guest photos, enjoy these photos from last year’s Lights on the Landscape.
