Gratitude changes my perspective immediately. When I remember to be grateful, almost any situation I find myself in changes directions. And, so this is my theme for Thanksgiving.
I would like to express gratitude and say thank you to the wonderful people in my life – those I work with each day (especially my husband of 38 years, Ray), the special guests who visit the Inn, my family and friends I enjoy spending time with, and to Hot Springs for providing a beautiful and fun place in which to live.
My life is so full of interesting experiences – some challenging and others filled with great joy, all capable of becoming more meaningful when I look on them with appreciation. I truly believe this is what Thanksgiving was meant to be – a time to experience and show gratitude.
At Lookout Point Inn we love the holidays: the cool, crisp weather, making cookies with my grandchildren, decorating the Inn for Christmas, visiting Holiday Lights at Garvan Gardens and in Downtown Hot Springs, offering Thanksgiving dinner to guests at the Inn and in the community, and so much more.
So, thank you to all the guests we’ve had the privilege of meeting and getting to know during the last 11 years. I’ve said it before and it is still true: YOU are the best guests in the entire world! If you haven’t spent time with us during Christmas, treat yourself to a weekend getaway in Hot Springs and stay at the Inn. What a great Christmas gift to give yourself.
We’re getting the decorations out, Christmas desserts are planned for the afternoon reception, and almost every day there is an entertaining event somewhere in Hot Springs. We’ll be blogging about many of them. Make reservations online or call us at 501.525.6155.
