Coffee in hand, two fishing rods, bucket of fresh worms, and a small pond filled with fish—what more could a fisherman want early in the morning?
Raymond caught at least a dozen bream (or blue gill, as I’ve been informed). He was heading home to provide a fish cookout for friends this evening. Thank you for thinning out the lake fish from our pond! 12 down, over 100 to go.
Our gardener, Pat, tells us that he’s actually seen a bass, at least 16 inches long, in the pond. Who knew???
So, you’re welcome to bring your rod and reel, and fish the lazy way at Lookout Point. Catch & release (into Lake Hamilton) OR take ‘em home. When Ray & I created a luxury inn with lots of amenities, we did not know just how many amenities Lookout Point Lakeside Inn would actually include! Ha…

It was a joy to be a part of the Jennings wedding last Sunday at Lookout Point. Katie looked gorgeous in her gown as she walked down the aisle on her father’s arm. Her daughter Analee walked in front with her miniature bouquet. She was a beautiful little angel!
Katie’s brother played the guitar as Katie walked down the aisle. The ceremony took place in the garden near the waterfall. The couple and Analee participated in a sand union using white, black and pink sand. The sand unity was just lovely, and the perfect touch for their wedding.
Congratulations Katie and Joshua on your marriage! Best wishes for a long happy life together!

The Saint Louis Dispatch featured an article about Lookout Point in their publication last week. The author of the article, Jim Winnerman, stayed at Lookout Point to research for his article. The article gives a wonderful overview of the inn, our rooms, and different amenities we offer. We are very delighted to have this type of recognition in this publication.
We look forward to future publications that highlight what Lookout Point has to offer. Thank you Jim for such a wonderful piece. To book a room or for more information about the inn call Kristie at 501-525-6155, or visit our website!

Congratulations to a lovely couple!
The rain ceased in time for Valerie & JC to celebrate their wedding outdoors, with great photos taken in the gardens. Photographer Kelley captured this lovely photo, highlighting Valerie’s soft pink dress, and radiant smiles. Surrounded by loving parents, the couple exchanged vows under the shelter of the outdoor dining plaza, in front of the waterfalls. It is such a privilege to participate, even in small ways, with these great moments in life.
Best wishes to great folks, in all your new adventures in life!

On a recent hike to Lake Catherine State Park, just a short 20 minute from Lookout Point, Ray & I enjoyed the many different waterfalls. After recent rains, the water was briskly flowing! The hike provided a great opportunity to talk, appreciate the beauty of Arkansas, and laugh. This moment ispired us to create a “Waterfalls & Picnic Package”. The package includes a map to the best waterfalls, an excellent backpack stocked with picnic fixings, plates, silverware, wine–and you get to take the stocked backpack home. Also included are admission to the Garvan Woodland Gardens, another great site to enjoy waterfalls. Call the inn (501-525-6155) to reserve your Waterfalls & Picnic Package, and get out there to enjoy nature.<

It’s quiet at Lookout Point Lakeside Inn this afternoon, with most of our guests attending the Arkansas Derby today at Oaklawn Jockey Club. Folks at the inn have travelled from Florida, Illinois, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Arkansas to attend the biggest race day of the year for Oaklawn.
The day is splendid, without a cloud in the sky. With spring is bursting forth in radiant splashes of color, with azaleas, dogwoods, cherry blossoms, irises, and even the knockout roses blooming. We could not ask for a more perfect day to spend outside. Best of luck to all of our guests! (We’re told that the horse, Point Lookout, won a race yesterday. Made us happy that our “namesake” won the race.)
Tomorrow: Easter Sunrise service at 7:00 on the Lookout Point labyrinth.

A beautiful spring day welcomed Christie and Brian to the start of their married life. The wedding was held lakeside, with immediate family and two lovely little girls attending the wedding.

- Joyful smiles!
Of course, at the end of the wedding ceremony I invited the happy couple to celebrate this moment with a kiss. And little Jaylyn squealed, “No, don’t!”, grimaced, and turned away. Pretty funny.
All of us at Lookout Point sincerely wish abundant blessings to Brian and Christie throughout their married life. We consider it a true honor to welcome and host weddings at Lookout Point. Plus I enjoy officiating and creating the wedding ceremony that is personal for each couple.

A changing of the guard took place at a recent Professional Association of Innkeepers International (PAII) board of directors meeting in Williamsburg, Virginia. Newly appointed to the PAII Board of Directors is Kristie Rosset, Lookout Point Lakeside Inn, Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Our outgoing volunteers have contributed so much over the years. This association has an aggressive agenda to serve our members and the greater industry, and our new board certainly has the talent and wisdom to help lead the way.
