Lookout Point Cooking Classes Schedule for 2015

December 18th, 2014 by Kristie Rosset

One of the most entertaining additions we incorporated at Lookout Point Inn for 2014 was Cooking School for our guests and friends in the community. We had such fun teaching cooking students how to make chocolate treats, egg dishes, breakfast in bed, puff pastry, cheesecake, soups and holiday desserts.

We had students who were already great cooks and wanted to learn more along with students who had cooked very little and were eager to gain confidence cooking. We met great people who participated in our classes in 2014 and hope to have them back in 2015 along with new students who want to learn more about cooking.

Our classes are hands-on for all students in our kitchen at Lookout Point. We teach students to prepare several recipes during the cooking school and then we eat some of what we prepare for lunch. Tiffany and I have such fun teaching the classes and we always learn something new from our students.

Last year we cooked a variety of foods for Cooking School and we have our schedule ready for the new year. The cost is $70 per person ($60 if you are a guest at Lookout Point for the class). The classes meet from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. The 2015 schedule for Cooking School includes:

How to Celebrate Mother’s Day

April 15th, 2014 by Jenna Tackett

Each year for Mother’s Day, my siblings and I made the entire day a celebration: from breakfast in bed to a cup of peppermint tea before she went to sleep. Usually, we got her a gift and went fishing, mostly so she could relax by the lake. This year, you could pamper the strong ladies in your life in a similar way. There are several options Lookout Point can give you to consider this May.

There is limited space for the class, so be sure to sign up soon.
  2. Bring your loved one to our Hot Springs Bed & Breakfast for a truly pampering getaway! Our guest rooms each have a view of Lake Hamilton, luxurious linens on comfortable beds, and a scrumptious breakfast each morning. (You can reserve your stay online anytime.)
  3. Give your beloved a gift certificate for a stay or an installment of the Cooking School ($50 per person, or $40 per person with a stay at the Inn).
