Sunday’s windy weather found more than 200 people kayaking, canoeing and rowing on Lake Hamilton. Called Paddling 4 the Planet, these energetic folks paddled to increase awareness of environmental issues, especially related to the waterways.
Innkeeper Ray kayaked alongside his daughters and their spouses. I volunteered to forgo paddling the 7 miles, opting instead to play with grandson Blaine. Noting the breeze across the lake, Ray opined that they paddled into the wind, both directions. What a fun day!
By the way, Lookout Point Lakeside Inn provides a canoe, complimentary, for you to use. It’s a great way to explore the lake and the islands.
